In this beginner class, students will cover preparing and working with clay, basic wheel throwing, trimming, glazing, and basic surface decoration. You'll also learn how to pull and attach handles. This class is perfect for those with little to no clay experience, or those looking for a hands-on refresher with a knowledgeable instructor who can meet you where you are in your ceramics journey. Each student will leave with an understanding of the throwing, trimming, and glazing processes—as well as studio etiquette and clay reclaim. There will be an emphasis on the holistic ceramics process and safety throughout, ensuring that students are ready to grow their practice on their own once the class ends. Class Date & Times: Sundays May 24, 31, June 7, 14, 28 9 AM - Noon ** The class fee is for all five classes. Please make sure you are able to attend all of the listed dates below. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy: Students must cancel their registration at least 48 hours in advance to receive a full refund. After 48 hours, we will refund up to 75% of the registration fee. A note on class registration costs: Our class fees cover instructor pay, facility use, and supplies. Late cancellations make it difficult for us to fill the class at the last minute—and cover those costs.
