Mandatory for all Large Wood Shop Tools
Details
Receive hands-on training on our wood shop equipment. Safely learn how to operate our table saw, bandsaw, jointer, planer, router table, handheld power tools, and miter saw. Discuss best practices, keeping a tidy shop for everyone's use, and answer any questions about the wood shop. Note: orientation not needed for use of small, analog hand tools. Length 2 hours, offered during one weekend day a month and one evening a month. Lathe orientation is separate from wood shop orientation and offered on its own. IMPORTANT: The shop lead will meet you in the Front Room of Coco-op Makerspace. Please enter through the front door. For non-members or members without key fobs, please wait at the front door. The shop lead will let you in. Coco-op orientations are open to the public, please register to reserve your spot.
